An exciting take on an important topic – periodic table bingo is a fun and engaging way to learn about the elements, their symbols and their uses. It can be differentiated to varying abilities and adapted to different levels or specifications

The periodic table is the lynchpin of chemistry. Most curricula require that students are familiar with the first 20 elements of the periodic table. This activity is designed to familiarise students with the names and symbols of the first 20 elements of the periodic table and iron, copper, silver and gold. The activity can be adapted for age and ability and used across ages 10-16. At primary the game should be used with the words and images cards to familiarise students with the names of the elements. At 11-16, the difficulty and challenge of the game may be varied by mixing and matching the different sets of cards and counters.
