Organic Reaction Mechanisms is a core component of organic chemistry at 16 to 19 level. It is covered in A-levels, Scottish Highers and International Baccalaureate but also in all undergraduate chemistry courses.

This site provides students of chemistry the opportunity to test themselves on their understanding by answering questions not only on the mechanisms themselves but on the underlying chemistry. It aims to:

1. help students to practice solving organic mechanism problems;

2. build confidence in core knowledge to help solve problems;

3. recognise evidence available to solve problems; and

4. challenge common misconceptions.
